I went to a restaurant today for lunch in the ID to try out a new place. It's a bit farther from work than I usually venture, but I thought what the hey.
I went to the ladies room and discovered this treasure. A woman with a semi-mullet, gazing serenely at some roses. Above her is a promise that many people strive for, 'Freedom of Choice.' But choice of what, you might ask? Why, the choice between bulky maxithins sanitary napkins and tampax. The best choice of all.
Was this what that Roe vs. Wade hullabaloo was all about? Why, this vending machine had it solved all along, and judging by this woman's hair since at least the mid-80's!

Spring/Summer in 3D
I got my very first photography show this January! It's a show of springy and summery images in 3D, to be viewed during the dreary months of winter.
I've been wanting to do this for a while, and have been taking pictures for the past few years as sort of a stockpile. Gathering up those quintessential moments of greenery and blooms, with the idea of using them during the winter.
I finally got up the guff to ask around and see if anyone might want to host my photos in a gallery. I talked to Lindsey, who is a member of the McLeod Residence, and I got to meet up with Lele and Chris to pitch the idea. They were into it!
My show lasts from January 4th to the end of February. I told them I could use any space available, from a full room to a teeny corner of a room. So they're giving me a closet. Ha! Which is actually quite cool. I don't even need that much space, really, since the photos are seen through a viewer. But having the closet will give me a chance to include some additional extra-sensory items to round out the experience. You'll see....if you show up.....which I hope you all will.
The opening of "the closet" is on January 4th from 6-9PM. But you can pop by anytime the art gallery is open to the public (Tues-Sat 10AM-6PM) between Jan 4th and the end of February to see the display. Dig!
