Dx = not cancer

I got the call from Dr. F. (the surgical oncologist) just now. He called me with the lab results, and according to the pathology report, I do not have cancer.

Wow.

All signs pointed to it:

* Two MRI's showed weird tissue in the mass
* The mass was very large

The report called it an "atypical lypomatous tumor with spindle cell features and myxoid stroma." I guess that's why the MRI showed up with the weird tissue results?
I asked Dr. F. if there was a chance that it's cancer, and he said yes, but it's incredibly small. Wow. He also said though that I'd be getting tested for a while and monitored closely to make absolutely sure.

I'll be talking to Dr. B. (the radiation oncologist) probably tomorrow to find out what the next steps are. I might still end up getting radiation to make sure that the (now) non-cancerous lump doesn't return.

I want to thank everyone for your support, thoughts and prayers. I've felt the good vibes for many weeks now, and it really has held me up through this.

I think I'm going to go now and celebrate. Or take a nap. This whole thing has been a little exhausting.
